Outdoorsman Motel

Was pleasantly surprised when I opened the door to the room. No smells, very very clean, beds comfortable, full size fridge in room, chairs outside of room to sit on after a long day riding the motorcycle. The staff are amazing, a fresh pot of coffee was brewed when we showed up to warm up. Nice fresh cookies in the morning. Strongly suggest anybody to stay here

Barhroom was new, bright, and very clean. Fridge in room was convenient. Queen bed was clean and comfortable. The Canadians stick headboard was very charming. We would stay again.

Love this place! Super clean, comfy and the staff are very nice. We arrived late and they were sure to make accommodation for us upon arrival. I would highly recommend this spot to anyone who comes through town. Added bonus there’s fresh cookies and coffee in the morning.

What a wonderful little motel. Rooms are beautiful, make you feel like you’re in a cabin. Very clean, SUPER friendly staff, coffee and fresh baked cookies in the morning. Credit card NOT required!

What a little gem of a place to stay! The room was impeccably clean, and loved the cabin feel. Staff is super friendly. We had to leave early so missed out on coffee and cookies. Would definitely stay here again!

We were traveling cross-country to relocate and needed a stop in Wawa along our route. Becuase we were traveling with pets, our choices were limited and some of the places -- even national chains -- were run down and it was evident that NOBODY who worked at them cared about their guests or their business. Our expectation were quite low when we arrived at the Outdoorsman Motel in Wawa, but were surprised and delighted. It is charming and the owners have clearly gone out of their way to create a clean, inviting experience for their guests. Lots of little touches that show they care deeply about the role a good motel plays for a weary traveller. We loved that they had all of the take-out menus from local restaurants in the room and offered us some extra towels and cloths becuase they knew we were traveling with pets. Highly recommended.

If you find this motel on your trip you are very lucky. The room is extremely clean. Every corner is spotless, the kitchen the toilet the beds and furniture everything is nice and clean. My wife and I with a lovely Shiba inu We spent a night here. Definitely recommend this motel for anyone looking for a place to stay in Wawa

Thus is a great place to lay your head. Very clean. The owners are inviting and accommodating. I would go back. A tip though...it fills up fast for best to book ahead.

I have been to dozens of motels across Canada, but this motel is by far the best!! Not 5 stars but 10 stars!! Ray and Lynn, together with their staff, are great people. Ray and Lynn make you feel almost like your family from the first moment. The rooms are beautiful, everywhere is clean, everything is working, WiFi is amazing, they even invite you for a coffee and cookies in the morning! This motel is better than many 4 star hotels!! I have been here twice and will come again. Thanks Ray and Lynn you are the best!!!!

Great place ! I came in late and very accommodating. No issues with dogs and no outrageous pet fees. Great rooms and very clean. Loved it full fridge with freezer. Great gem! Highly recommend . Very kind people

Had a wonderful stay. The owners are very friendly and gave me some great advice on local things to do and see. The room was beautifully renovated and very clean. We really appreciated the full size fridge and freezer plus microwave. The parking lot was well lit and in good shape. Also the morning cookies and coffee are delicious.

I came in late and the owner waited up for me and even helped park my big moving van for me. It was so nice and the decor allows you to feel at the cabin. Loved the seated shower stall. Very clean. No complaints at all.

I enjoyed my stay at the Outdoorsman Motel. The room was clean .The bed was comfortable. The staff were very professional and friendly. I will definitely stay here again.

Love this place and fully recommend to anyone travelling through or working in the area. Room was very clean and loved the furniture that came with it. Full kitchenette and lots of room. Rooms have been renovated. The friendliest owners. Nice conversation, great coffee and freshly made cookies in the morning. Was great for my family of 4 and my pets. We will stay again if we are passing through.

FABULOUS! A hidden gem. We had to stay in Wawa unexpectedly due to road closures and were so pleasantly surprised with this place. Our room was clean, quiet, and cozy with an adorable cabin feel. Nice big fridge, new bathroom fixtures and everything worked great. The staff were kind and helpful. Bonus points for the warm cookies in the morning!

I was dreading the thought of looking for a room in Wawa on a Sunday night but we were too tired to keep driving. I chose this Motel after reading so many positive reviews. It is gem! Don't let the rustic appearance of the rooms fool you. The decor is not old and musty, it's beautiful and comfortable. Our room was very clean and had an updated bathroom. We would certainly stay there again.

The best place to stay in this beautiful part of Canada! The rooms were spotless and very comfortable! So cozy! The cleanest motel! Excellent service. Stayed here while visiting friends in Hawk Junction. Great accomodations .. clean.. an d a good price. The owner of the place was great to talk to and he had good coffee and cookies out in the morning. He also has two outdoor plugs by the sign so you can plug in your electric car . Its also very close to the Tesla Superchargers .. walking distance if you want . We would stay there again. BBQ's outside if you want to use them . Theres also some lawn chairs outside each room too.

Stayed at the outdoorsman, last minute, after a long drive across northern Ontario. The place has been totally renovated with super cute, cabin decor, and was immaculately clean. I travel a lot for work and the bathroom, was probably one of the best I've seen. It had a huge, new bathtub, which is near impossible to find anywhere else. They are normally so small and gross at most places, but not here. But most importantly, again... It was so clean. The owners were also super nice. We came to ask for some ice and he handed us crystal glasses to mix a drink. Fresh cookies in the morning was also a nice touch. Would definitely recommend.

This is a great place to stay. The owners are friendly and totally on the ball. We had asked for extra bedding when we had called to book ahead and... boom... there it was in the room. They have coffee and cookies in the morning. We didn't really feel comfortable backing our trailer between some truck and the owner jumped right in and backed it up for us. Will stay again!

Ray greated us and was very friendly. Our room was fresh smelling, very clean and had everything we needed. Cute decor. We are doing the Lake Superior Circle tour on our motorcycle and have stayed in various places along the way. We would definitely recommend The Outdoorsman. Also close enough to places to walk to eat if you don't want to ride your bike to dine.

Excellent motel! Our room was comfortable, clean, and updated and the kitchenette was really convenient The staff were very friendly and we enjoyed the fresh cookies and coffee! Wish we could have stayed more than one night!

Best place to stay in Wawa! They have the most amazing bathrooms and the service is incredible! Staying here is always a highlight of our trip!!

What a beautiful place to stay in Northern Ontario. Super friendly and accommodating staff. The rooms are so clean, neat, cozy and comfortable. There's even fresh baked cookies and coffee at the main office every morning. Highly recommended and A1 place to stay if you're in Wawa. My corworker and I stayed at the Outdoorsman for one night earlier in September. We really enjoyed out experience! The room was very clean, equipped with a large fridge and microwave. it is conveniently located right in Wawa, walking distance from the downtown. Ray was very helpful and friendly and was able to share more information about the area.

Amazing stay with hosts Ray and Lynn. Definitely the best hotel in Wawa. The rooms character and cleanliness makes you feel like you are at home.
